Motorq Now Delivers Connected Vehicle Data to Snowflake in Seconds

A vehicle reports a battery issue before a route starts. Another has been idling at a customer site for nearly an hour. A dispatcher is trying to reroute drivers using location data that's already stale.
At Motorq, we work directly with OEM-connected vehicles to help fleets monitor vehicle health, fuel usage, location, and driver behavior. For that to be useful, the data has to arrive while there's still time to act on it.
For a long time, getting that data into Snowflake meant waiting. We delivered connected vehicle data through our app, APIs, and Kafka in near real time, but customers accessing data through Snowflake were working with information that was an hour old by the time it arrived. We rebuilt that pipeline, and Snowflake delivery now happens in seconds, 60x faster than before.
Our engineering team wrote up how we got there in a recent Snowflake Builders Blog post, including what changed under the hood and how Motorq now handles billions of telemetry signals each month across fleets, lenders, dealers, and mobility platforms.
